The Noosa Australia Day Festival (NADF) is jointly organised by volunteers from Tewantin Noosa Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Noosa Heads. This FREE community festival is now entering its fourth year and is fast becoming a sought after and iconic event for our region. This year's entire NADF committee has been hard at work since April putting together yet another great family festival.
NADF 2019 will be supporting three very worthy local charities. We have selected to donate funds raised in 2019 to United Synergies Suicide Prevention, Katie Rose Cottage Palliative Care and our local St Vincent de Paul respectively.
In 2016 we donated funds raised at our festival to the Salvation Army to assist with domestic violence locally; in 2017 we donated to United Synergies for the local homeless; in 2018 we again donated to Untied Synergies for local youth under the age of 25 suffering from mental health issues.
Not only has our charitable donations grown but so has the size of the Festival. We have grown from the first Festival of 1200 people throughout the day in 2016 to in excess of 8,500 people throughout the day in 2018.
The Festival will be running in Lions Park Gympie Terrace Noosaville from 7am with the traditional Rotary Big Breakfast starting the day. The entertainment starts on centre stage from 10am and continues right through to 5pm. We have all day live music, kids' attractions, amusement rides and delicious food stalls in the park.
The Noosa Australia Day Festival 2019 will feature a minimum of 14 quality professional entertainers with local, national and international experience.
